The Best Way to Cook on the Road
You may be wondering: is that a quiche I spy over an open flame. Why yes. Yes it is. How you may wonder did I manage that especially since those who know me know I cannot cook. Here is the recipe for Campfire Quiche
Campfire Quiche
- Start by rowing with another height challenged individual on Smith Crew
- Now that she is a tried and true friend, celebrate her marriage to a gorgeous Frenchman who is a chef (and really salute how forward thinking she is about all of that)
- Next, for any holiday, birthday, break up or other life event, request a quiche from said Frenchman
- Upon boarding the trailer to leave DC, depart from former crew-mate and Frenchman’s house
- Accept graciously one quiche as if it is a big surprise one was made for you
- Hand over to husband who is also very good cook (forward thinking by me)
- End up with quiche getting heated on fire for crispiness rather than microwave for sogginess
- And, as a bonus you get green peas with delicious seared prosciutto
